I have very pleasent memories of DMCC during my tenure as a working planter in the Maskeliya/Bogowantalawa/Hatton and Talawakalle Districts. Charlie was a close associate of mine.By a coincidence, he died doing what he liked best, playing tennis at Darrawella. He was partnering his son Pravin and I was the umpire.He virtually died on my lap as I cradeled him when he suddenly colapsed on the centre court. He was 58 years old!
