HISTORY OF CEYLON TEA PHOTO ALBUM

Welcome to the History of Ceylon Tea Photo Album. As with the written material on HOCT, in the Photo Album we will endeavour to reproduce photographs relevant to the plantation industry; these will form another valuable component of this website.

The scope for “image relevancy” is very broad as we do not wish to restrict this ‘album’ to James Taylor and Loolecondera Estate type photos. Therefore, we invite you to submit your photographs for your own permanent record as well as in the interests of the history we are recording here. Please click on the “Send in your Photographs” button below for more details.

All images are free of Copyright unless otherwise indicated on each photograph by a © www.historyofceylontea.com watermark.

Long Description : (Editor's note - This lovely collection of photographs, primarily of the Baker family, was very kindly sent in by Joan Cross from Perth, Australia, whose grandfather Vic Charles Jaggers was a tea planter in Ceylon. Joan has stated that she has not been able to identify many people in this collection of photographs nor indeed if most of the estate photos are of Queenswood, the Baker family estate. Anyone who could possibly shed some light on the missing data could kindly email me on editor@historyofceylontea.com)
