Image Guidelines

* Images are not restricted to a time period. Contemporary images are also important.

* A Photo is relevant to this album if it contains an image of:

      1. A Planter (current or retired). This can be in work or social settings during the term of their plantation career, or in their present circumstances as           retirees or expatriates.

      2. Family Member of a Planter

      3. Plantation – Planters bungalow, factory, estate

      4. Plantation Worker/s

      5. Scenic with Plantation backdrop or foreground

      6. Sports and Social activities

      7. Planters Clubs

Image Format
All images received will be formatted to the required specifications of the Photo Album. While images in JPEG format are preferred, we can work with other formats too. Please contact the Editor to discuss options.

Accompanying Information
Ideally, each photo should be submitted with an accompanying title (caption) carrying details such as names of people in the photo, location, date or approximate period in which the photo was taken. This should be no longer than 30 words per image.

However, some photos might require longer explanations and or descriptions. In this event, you may create a description of no more than 200 words which will be linked to the photo.

Copyright
If you are uncertain if any copyright exists to a photo you wish to submit, kindly discuss it with the Editor. However, as most photos submitted are expected to be those from private collections, this issue is unlikely to arise frequently.

Payment
As this is an industry-service project sponsored by the MJF Group, we regret that no payment can be offered for any form of material submitted for inclusion on this website.
